The Gerald Anthony Furniture Store is a charity that helps poor and displaced people furnish their homes with the basics. It has been running for over 100 years, staffed mostly by volunteers.
My role was to design a generic business card and letterhead. In addition the client wanted a design for their 8 page annual review. Free reign was given regarding the main copy and overall design, but it had to be modern, fun, and eye-catching.
My solution was to create a friendly letter mark combining the company initials with the emphasis on the theme of its charitable nature. The bold, colourful simplicity lent itself to ease of legibility at any scale and was easily recognisable.
The annual report reflected the friendly and humorous letter mark and used colour and humour to convey the charity's message in an eye-catching, attention-grabbing way.
